4 Typical coastal artillery casemates M272 housing a cannon 150 mm TK C/36 (Range of approximately 20 kilometers : Possible shots on Omaha Beach and Gold Beach as well as on ships).

D-DAY

Around 6:00 a.m., the 6 June, the battery opens fire towards Gold Beach on the British command ship HMS Bulolo.

HMS Argonaut and Ajax respond by firing 179 shells on the battery, silencing her temporarily at 8:45 a.m..

Later in the morning, the battery fires again but on Omaha Beach.

The French cruiser Georges Leygues will target her to silence her permanently.

115 shells fired by the battery during the 6 June.
